Who We Are
|
“Treat people as if they were what they ought to
be and you help them to become what they are capable
of being.”
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, German Poet |
In reviewing the relatively short
history of American Management we have come to believe
there is an important distinction between management and
leadership. The research shows that people do not respond
as positively to being managed as they do to being led.
What must still be managed is systems, processes,
technology, and assets. Organization development hinges on
understanding this distinction.
We have also learned through our work
with large and small organizations that significant
organizational change or transformation efforts must begin
on a personal level with key leaders. Organizations won’t
make measurable changes unless a critical mass of
leadership does.
What We believe
-
Discovering and unleashing passion will have a greater
impact on individuals and organizations than processes,
procedures, tools, or technology.
-
Forging a new path to the future requires
vision, integrity, and courage.
-
Right talent + experience + creativity +
right process, tools, and technology = solutions.
-
If you want to the world to change how they
see you, change how you see the world.
-
Within every legendary performance epic is
a story about team effort.
-
To
achieve your greatness, help others to achieve theirs.
What We Do
We are committed to partner
with our clients to assist in the optimization and and
leveraging of human assets to improve organizational
performance. We do this by providing consulting, training,
coaching, and assessment tools to improve selection,
performance management, leadership and organizational
development processes.
Every organization has
unique characteristics just as individuals do. It follows
then that each organization has unique problems. The
biggest stumbling block to solving problems was stated
quite succinctly by Albert Einstein. He said,
“Problems cannot be solved by
the same type of thinking that created the problem in the
first place”. Objective diagnosis and
analysis of blocks to organizational performance, new
approaches to modifying leadership behaviors, management
systems, processes, technologies, and tools is the value
of having ASI Strategic Performance as a partner.
Our consultants begin by
collaborating with senior management to identify,
understand, and clarify the current situation and
expectations. Our consulting process is phased beginning
with an exploration of issues related to vision, mission,
beliefs, and strategic goals. A prerequisite to making
recommendations to clients is the collection of
organizational data to identify major obstacles as well as
more subtle cultural barriers to strategic performance.
Organizational data is then analyzed to identify the best
modes for transforming leadership behaviors, business
processes, tools, and technologies to facilitate positive
outcomes.
